Where 3D billboards work best: seven cities and what their screens are good for
Paris, London, Dubai, New York, Berlin, Brussels, Tokyo. What each city's screen inventory is good for, and how to pick the screen that will get filmed.

The screen matters more than the city
A 3D billboard gets filmed when three things line up: a screen with a good viewpoint, a crowd that stops, and a moment worth filming. Cities differ in the first two. Here is how we read seven of them, from the campaigns we have delivered and the screens we know.
Paris
Our home city and where most of our work happens. Mall corners, station concourses, shopping streets, and a dense flat-screen inventory that makes network campaigns consistent. The Miele HydroClean campaign ran here on mall and station screens, and most of our FOOH films were shot in Paris streets. Good for: launches with a hero screen plus a network. See 3DOOH in Paris.
London
A handful of iconic screens and one of the largest flat-screen networks in Europe. The network is what makes a London campaign travel: one idea, adapted to every screen in the plan. Good for: campaigns that need reach across the city rather than one landmark. See 3DOOH in London.
Dubai
The densest premium inventory in the region and an audience that films everything. Mall corners, tower facades, road-side networks. Good for: a launch that needs to be seen and shared in the same week. See 3DOOH in Dubai.
New York
Where the format was born. Times Square corners are the most filmed screens on earth, and the retail and transit networks carry the idea across the city. Good for: a global moment, one screen, maximum reaction videos. See 3DOOH in New York.
Berlin
The entry point to the German networks, with strong station and rail inventory. One 3D master adapted to every screen size is what makes a DACH campaign consistent. Good for: multi-city campaigns in German-speaking markets. See 3DOOH in Berlin.
Brussels
A compact market, two languages, a few strong screens in Brussels and Antwerp. The Miele campaign ran here on malls and shopping streets, one version per screen, in French and Dutch. Good for: a campaign that also covers the Netherlands and Luxembourg from one production. See 3DOOH in Brussels.
Tokyo
The crossings set the standard for 3D billboards. A moment that works there is filmed by thousands of people a day. Good for: the hero screen of a global campaign, with Japanese typography rebuilt rather than translated. See 3DOOH in Tokyo.
How to pick the screen
Ask three questions. Where does the crowd stand, and for how long? Is it a corner screen or a flat one, because the illusion is built differently for each? What does the media owner accept? The screen brief checklist covers all three.
