What your media owner needs before a 3D campaign (and why films get rejected)

Screen layout, video format, viewpoint, schedule: the six things to collect from a media owner before production, and the mistakes that cost a week.

A landmark screen in London

Why films get rejected

Not because of the creative. Because the layout was an old version, the video format was wrong, the loop was two seconds too long, or a logo landed in an area that must stay clear. Every one of these is avoidable before anything is built.

The six things to collect

  1. The screen: media owner, site, reference, shape, real size.
  2. The exact layout: resolution of each face, gaps, corner angle, areas to keep clear, the media owner’s template.
  3. The video format accepted: file type, frames per second, length, sound.
  4. The view people have: a photo from where the crowd stands, distance and height.
  5. The schedule: campaign dates, delivery deadline, who signs off.
  6. The delivery: naming, where to send the files, the other screens that need a version.

Who should collect it

Anyone can: the media buyer, the agency, or us. What matters is that it happens before the first build. We turned the list into a PDF you can forward to your media owner.
